The Erasmus+ ‘AI Empowered Educators’ project has reached another important milestone: on 27 November 2025, the Hungarian Peer Learning Action (PLA) took place in Budapest, focusing on adaptive learning and differentiation – one of the key areas of the application of artificial intelligence in education.

The professional event was organised by the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service School Foundation (MMSZIA) and the Interregio Forum Association (IRF) in a hybrid format, offering the opportunity for both in-person and online participation.

The workshop was attended by teachers, educational professionals, artificial intelligence developers and edtech stakeholders from various sectors of public education. The professional dialogue was further enriched by the presence of innovative educational technology stakeholders, such as representatives from Redmenta, as well as other AI and educational development experts.

The aim of the PLA was to lay the joint foundations for a teacher training programme that supports the informed and pedagogically sound application of artificial intelligence in state education.

During the interactive workshop, participants explored the opportunities and challenges of AI in education using digital tools and through moderated professional discussions. The findings show that teachers are open to innovation, whilst at the same time considering a critical approach, the issue of reliability and practical applicability to be of paramount importance.

One of the key lessons from this collaborative work is that artificial intelligence does not replace but rather strengthens the role of the teacher: it offers new opportunities for differentiation, for supporting individual learning pathways and for improving assessment processes.

The experience gained during the PLA will be directly incorporated into the next phase of the project, which focuses on developing a flexible, practice-oriented teacher training programme based on micro-learning.

The successful event clearly demonstrates that the AI Empower project is moving forward by building on stable professional partnerships and responding to practical needs, and aims to provide meaningful support for the renewal of 21st-century education.
