As part of the Erasmus+ ‘AI Empowered Educators’ project, the third National Peer Learning Action (PLA) took place on 3 December 2025 in Kutno, Poland, further strengthening the project’s international professional foundations.

The event was attended by teachers working at various levels of education, school leaders and representatives of professional organisations, enabling us to explore the educational application of artificial intelligence by drawing on a wide range of experiences.

The aim of the PLA was to lay the joint foundations for a teacher training programme that supports the informed and pedagogically sound use of artificial intelligence in state education.

The workshop focused on teachers’ real-life experiences and training needs. Participants explored current practices in the use of AI, as well as the main challenges and obstacles – such as a lack of time, a shortage of training and differences in infrastructure – that hinder the use of these tools in schools.

Particular emphasis was placed on the issue of ethical and safe use, especially data protection, copyright and the reliability of AI-generated content. The participants agreed that critical thinking and conscious pedagogical guidance play a key role in the educational application of AI.

As a result of this collaborative work, the key elements of an effective AI training programme for teachers have been outlined: a practice-oriented approach, a modular structure, and learning pathways tailored to different levels of competence.

The PLA in Poland marked an important milestone for the project, as the combined experience of the three countries now provides a solid foundation for the development of an international teacher training programme based on real needs.
