As the next milestone in the Erasmus+ ‘AI Empowered Educators’ project, the international Peer Learning Action (PLA) took place in Budapest on 22 January 2026, integrating the outcomes of the Hungarian, Romanian and Polish PLA events.
The aim of the workshop was to synthesise the experiences of the local PLA events and to lay the foundations for a joint teacher training programme applicable at an international level, with a particular focus on supporting adaptive learning and differentiation.
Through interactive professional sessions, participants compared the experiences of the three countries, identifying common challenges and differing needs. One of the most important outcomes of this collaborative effort was the development of a flexible training structure comprising seven modules, which builds on teachers’ real needs and adopts a strongly practice-oriented approach.
The proposed training covers the pedagogical foundations of AI, the practical use of tools, content creation, differentiation and assessment, as well as ethical and safety issues. The aim is to develop a flexible learning model that adapts to different levels of knowledge and supports teachers in the informed and critical use of AI.
The professional dialogue confirmed that teachers in the three countries face similar challenges – particularly in the areas of differentiation, the practical application of AI and the development of digital competences – which provides a solid foundation for a joint training programme.
The outcomes of the international PLA set out the next steps for the project: the detailed design of the training programme, the development of teaching materials and the delivery of pilot training sessions.
